Being new in town or a new members to our group can be intimidating especially in New York City! It is actually one of the main reasons that The New York Social Network came into existence in 2004! (The group founder was looking for fun ways to meet people in the big city). If you are new in town (meaning you arrived in the last year or two) or just new to our group, join us for this special Sunday afternoon gathering at one of NYC's nicest rooftop lounges to see just how easy it is to find like minded friends in the city. What to expect:
We will be gathering on the outside East Terrace of The Empire Hotel Rooftop Lounge. (in case of rain we will move inside)
NYSN staff members will be on hand to welcome you and introduce you to others in the group. They will also be on hand to answer any questions you have about the group, our members and our events.
We'll have some fun ice breaker games that will get you to meet others in the group and learn fun facts about the city.
There will be cocktail specials and food is available from their menu.
Can I come alone? Yes, 99% of those attending this event will likely register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.
Is this for singles? No, there are many people in the group that are not single however a majority probably are. Couples will not feel uncomfortable. The focus of this event is to bring people together who are just looking to expand their horizons in the city. Let's take a break from the singles focus for an afternoon and enjoy meeting each other without the pressure that goes with a singles party.
I have been in the city for less than a year and attend NYSN events regularly, can I still come? Yes, this way to can brag about all the fun experience you have had!
Do I need a ticket? Unless otherwise instructed, if you registered and paid for this event or registered with a voucher your name will be on a list at the door. If you register within 3 hours of the event it is best to bring proof of payment. If registering with a voucher follow the instruction on the voucher.
Dress Code: At all events we ask that you use your best judgement based on the event. There are never jackets and ties required unless specifically stated. Keep it neat, be yourself and look your best always.
How will I find the group? We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register for the event and send follow up emails as we get closer.
Ages: 21+ Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated. If this is an issue for you contact Dave at the address below and we can usually give you a very accurate idea of what to expect.
This event is nonrefundable unless the event is canceled or rescheduled.
