If you're a TV or movie buff, then you know the city of Manhattan isn't just a location, but its own character. Movies, TV, literature...Trivial Pursuit could create a whole game solely inspired by NYC. Bring your memory for obscure facts and love of movies/tv and be prepared to put them to good use.
You and your team members will look for landmarks and locations mentioned in books, television, movies and history. But there's a twist...you won't be given a list of items to find. You will be given not-so-easy clues you'll have to decipher in order to check-off everything on your list.
How it works:
-Arrive at check-in for socializing, cocktails and registration.
-When you check in, you'll receive a printout with your clues.
-If you don't have a team we will put you with other fun people in teams of 3-5.
-Around 3pm, your organizer will quickly run through the rules with the group and pair up anyone who does not have a team. You'll be off on the hunt by 3:15.
-Each group will have 90 minutes to find as many items on the list as they can. You will return to check-in spot for more socializing, cocktails and food if you wish, while we tally up the scores.
Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending will likely come on their own.
Dress code? Be comfortable but keep it neat.
What will we be looking for? Nothing too extreme, and no death-defying feats to find them involved. Dress for the weather.
