The Grand Central Scavenger & History Hunt Happy Hour w/ Optional Party

Midtown Manhattan is bustling with activity and rich in history. Many of us miss the really cool historical parts of the area as we rush to and from work, parties, the gym, dates, etc. Join us for this fun night where we will team you up with other members of the group as you set out from 34th street to 42nd street to uncover the amazing hidden and in plain sight secrets of the heart of Manhattan. It is a fun way to wind down after working all day!

How it works:

-Arrive at The Playwright for socializing, cocktails and registration.

-If you don't have a team we will put you with other fun people in teams of 4-5.

-Once you are on a team you will receive a sheet with all the clues. Along the way you will also learn a little NYC history!

-Each group will have 90 minutes to find as many clues as possible. You will return to The Playwright for more socializing, cocktails and food if you wish, while we tally up the scores.

What will we be looking for? You will be directed to several historic sights and places from Penn Station to 5th avenue, 32nd street to 42nd street. You will need to give us details on what you see and find. It is actually pretty easy and fun!

What is included? $20 includes admission to the hunt and drink specials at the bar. ($10 for VIP Members)

Can I come alone? Yes, 98% of those attending this event normally register on their own. You welcome to bring as many non member guests, friends & co workers as you’d like, just make sure to register for the number of people that you want below. Our staff will be ready to greet you and introduce you to others whether you are on your own or with guests.

Do I need a ticket? If this is a free event, no. For paid events: Unless otherwise instructed, if you registered and paid for this event or registered with a voucher your name will be on a list at the door. If you register within 3 hours of the event it is best to bring proof of payment. If registering with a voucher follow the instruction on the voucher.

Dress Code: At all events we ask that you use your best judgement based on the event. There are never jackets and ties required unless specifically stated. Keep it neat, be yourself and look your best.

How will I find the group? We will send you a confirmation email with exact locations, contact info and names of those who are hosting the event when you register. We will send follow up emails as we get closer, usually the night before or morning of.

Ages: 21+ Most of our events attract 20’s -40’s although some events can skew younger or older (50’s) depending on the event. Some events are clearly age specific as indicated.
