IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY - Refunds are not available unless an event is canceled. We do not provide refunds for no-shows, last minute cancellations, walk-outs, or in the event of an uneven gender ratio due to no-shows. In cases of a vastly uneven gender ratio (4 or more of one gender) or in cases of less than 7 dates, we will provide a credit towards another event. We are not responsible for people who do not communicate their inability to attend an event and choose not to honor their registration. Please respect these guidelines and be courteous to your host. We are very transparent regarding expected gender ratio and monitor registrations. If we think there will be an overage of one gender, we will contact you in advance and give you the opportunity to transfer to another event at no cost.
A Chemistry Dating event is similar to a speed dating event but it's designed to make better connections that will lead to real long term relationships... In fact, Chemistry Dating events lead to 32% more long term relationships than traditional speed dating. Instead of talking about random topics that often get redundant, you and your mini date will be given unique questions to ask one another. You will get a match card at check-in. At the end of each mini-date you'll indicate whether or not you'd like to see the person again. At the end of the evening, you will hand your match card into the event host. If you both select each other, we will send you each others' email address the next day so you can set up a future date!
ID's will be checked at our discretion. If you are over the assigned age range for an event, you will be asked to leave. No refunds will be provided.
At this event, you will be going on mini dates lasting between five and eight minutes each (we lengthen or shorten the date time according to how many people attend). Women stay seated and the men rotate from table to table until they meet each woman. NOTE: We can not provide an accurate headcount of men vs women, as we can not guarantee that the number of people registered will not cancel.
We can not provide an approximate headcount for events, as most registrations come in in the last day or two, and there's always a small percentage of no-shows at each event.
CAN I REGISTER WITH A FRIEND? You can, but we don't recommend it. That will greatly affect your match rate.
WHAT IF ENOUGH PEOPLE DON'T REGISTER? We monitor the registrations and gender ratio of all of our events, daily. If there aren't at least 5 couples registered, we will cancel the event, send you an email, and process a refund within 30 days. We try to give at least 6-8 hours notice of cancellations. Always check your email before you leave for the event.
WHEN DOES THE EVENT ACTUALLY START? The event starts at the time listed on the ticketing page. If an event starts at 5pm, you are asked to arrive by 5pm. If an event starts at 6:30pm, you are asked to arrive at 6:30pm. Check-in lasts for 15 minutes and then guests are asked to take their first seat. Once the dating rounds start, late arrivals can not be accommodated.
I LIVE IN A SUBURB. CAN I STILL ATTEND? Everybody is welcome to attend. If your commute to the event is more than 30-40 minutes by car or public transportation, that might impact your match rate. Also please note that you should plan your commute accordingly so you are not late. Should an event be canceled, we are not responsible for any travel expenses incurred.
WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE? While we don't have a strict dress code we ask that you please look neat/presentable. What you wear to work is likely fine. Please, no t-shirts, wrinkled button downs, active wear or ripped jeans. Make an effort. People will notice if you don't.
WHAT IF I CAN'T MAKE IT? If you email us at least 24 hours in advance, we will provide you with a credit towards another event. Cancellations that come in the day of an event are not eligible for refunds or credits. Please understand that when you don't honor your registration, that affects the overall experience of everyone who does.
CAN I PAY AT THE EVENT DOOR? We do not accept payment at the event door. You must pre-pay online.
DO THE CHEMISTRY QUESTIONS TAKE UP THE TIME OF THE ENTIRE MINI DATE?
The chemistry questions will only take a couple of minutes to answer. There will be time left over to discuss things like careers, interests, etc.
WHEN WILL I GET MY MATCHES EMAILED TO ME?
We will email you matches within 48 hours after the event.
Refunds available only if an event is canceled. Refunds processed within 30 business days.
Refunds are not available if you leave an event before it begins.
If you are registering with a friend, please note that you must register for each person individually and have their complete name and email address.
We prefer that people not attend with a friend. Not only does it drastically compromise an attendee's match rate (as people rarely choose between friends and always know when two people came together), but we have a higher than average no-show/cancellation rate in those instances. If you do register with a friend, please keep in mind that last minute cancellations/no shows will affect the gender ratio and overall experience for the group. If you prefer to attend an event with a friend, a mixer or activity is a more conducive atmosphere for mingling.
